DALE HOLLOW LAKE TRIP REVIEW
A total of 16 persons went on our July 17 - 18 lake trip. Fun was had by all. A
little too much sun for some. Even though the first dive at Divers Island
was a little stirred and rough from all the boats, we had a great time. The water below
20' was so cold it stopped most of us without wetsuits from going too
deep. A few of us used our little scooters to move us around the island quickly.
The scooter also seemed to attract fish; they would come right up to
us. The second dive was a lot better at table rock. More fish and better visability.
After diving or while waiting to dive most of us enjoyed a few water sports.
(Skiing, Wave Runner, etc.
After returning to the campsites, we had a feast of food shared by all. The next day
was about the same except the water was clearer earlier in the morning. We all
just hung out the rest of the day and got burnt. Thanks to John & Lynn
Walters, Ralph & Sherry Covington, for bringing their boats for the
enjoyment of all. Also, thanks to Charlie Denham for taking control of the
pontoon boat. For those that went it cost about $25.00 for camping and gas. Now
if that isn't a cheap trip, nothing is. We will definitely have to have more
of this type of trips in the future.
